August 29-September 2, 2011 Week 2

August 29th, 2011
We´ll star with Unit 1 Lesson 1: Meet someone new. I´ll play the CD and you´ll listen to the CONVERSATION MODEL, the entire group is going to repeat the conversation twice/changing roles. After that I´ll explain the grammar on page 4 and the students will make 2 questions with their answers. You´ll answer exercise A on page 4, Finally we´ll check the correct answers.


August 30th, 2011
You´ll practice doing exercise B, make 4 questions to your classmates and write their own answers down. Now you can meet someone, changing pairs you´ll meet someone making and answering some personal questions. You´ll start answering the Unit 1 Lesson 1 Workbook.
HW: Finish Lesson 1 Workbook.

August 31st, 2011
You´ll continue answering Lesson 1 Weather report (5 more squares)

September 1st, 2011
We´ll start on page 6 with Lesson 2: Identify and describe people. I´ll explain the grammar on page 6. After that you´ll share your favorite singer o actress´personal information. In pairs you´ll describe your favorite artist doing exercise A on page 6. I´ll play the CD to listen to the CONVERSATION MODEL on page 6. You´ll tell what are they talking about.

September 2nd, 2011
I´ll explain the grammar on page 6. Only 5 students will make a question with its answer. You´ll answer exercise B on page 7. I´ll explain the PRONUNCIATION. After that the CONVERSATION MODEL on page 7 and you´ll practice the conversation in pairs.
HW: Answer Unit 1 Lesson 2 Workbook.

August 22, 2011
We´ll star with Welcome to Top Notch page 2. You´ll read and listen to the first conversation and then you´ll practice in pairs. After that you´ll work in groups of 3 introducing someone to your classmates.

August 23, 2011
You´ll listen to the second conversation, you´ll read and listen to it. After that you´ll practice the same conversation but with your own information. Then you will listen to the conversations and you´ll answer exercise D on page 3. Finally you´ll answer exercise E on page 3.

August 24, 2011
Today you´ll have your first assingment at the Lab. You´ll answer your first 5 squares of Lesson 1 (Level 2).

August 25, 2011
I´ll explain the Unit 1 goals. after that I´ll explain the TOPIC PREVIEW "Why are you studying English?". Then you´ll answer exercise B on page 4. You´ll listen to the Sound Bites and then answer exercise D. After we´ll check the correct answers you´ll do exercise WHAT ABOUT YOU? on page 5.

I´ll start wthLesson 1 "Get to know someone"
The first topic you´ll listen to is the Conversation model 1. After that I´ll explain the Grammar on page 6 (Yes/No questions and short answers with the verb be). Then you´ll answer exercise B on page 6. We´ll check the correct answers on page 6 and 7. Finally you´ll work in pairs the conversation on page 7.

HW: You´ll publish your information based on page 5 exercise WHAT ABOUT YOU? and the questions you answered on page 7 based in the conversation.
